The cap is used to close the pipeline, and has the same function as the pipe plug. It is similar to the form of blind plate, but the blind plate can be removed for sealing, while the welded pipe cap can not be removed.
The pipe cap includes convex pipe cap, cone shell, variable diameter section, flat cover and shrink mouth design. Carbon steel pipe cap has stamping forming and spinning forming technology. At present, the main forming method of pipe cap in China is stamping. For carbon steel pipe cap, most of the stamping forming is hot forming. In order to avoid too large deformation and oxidation loss of steel plate during heating, the edge is easy to lose stability during hot stamping.

1. Press forming
① Put the blank into the heating furnace, heat it to the temperature required by the technology, and keep it warm.
② Put the heated blank into the adding mould so that the blank is concentric with the circumference of the mould.
③ Start the hydraulic system to ensure the pressure is greater than 8Mpa.
④ At the initial pressure, the temperature of the blank was measured by infrared thermometer.
⑤ In the process of pressing, the circumferential pressure is kept in balance.
2. Heat treatment: put the pipe cap into the furnace for heat treatment according to the heat treatment process.
3. Surface treatment: after heat treatment, the pipe cap shall be removed with sand blasting machine or polishing machine.
4. Mechanical property test: according to relevant standards, conduct mechanical property test on the pipe cap.
5. End machining: machining groove of mechanical end face according to design confirmation drawing.
6. Appearance inspection
① The pipe cap shall be free of cracks, overburning, overheating and other phenomena, and the surface shall be free of hard spots.
② Any defect on the pipe body of the pipe cap shall not be repaired by welding.
7. Dimension inspection
Relevant inspection personnel of the company shall carry out dimensional inspection according to the requirements of drawings and relevant standards of pipe fittings.
8. The inner and outer surface of the cap shall be smooth without any strength or appearance defects.
9. Non destructive testing
Conduct magnetic particle or penetrant inspection on the pipe cap according to the standard requirements.
10. Pickling and passivation treatment
Stainless steel pipe fittings shall be pickled and passivated.
1.Corrosion resistance, wear resistance and high hardness.
2. The structure is tight, intact and the pores are small.
3. It has strong separation from the base metal and good adhesion.
4. It is evenly distributed and has a certain thickness.
