Reducer is a kind of pipe fitting used for pipe reducing. Its connection form is to directly weld reducing pipe and steel pipe. The two ends of carbon steel concentric reducer have different diameters, which are used to connect different diameter pipes or flanges for reducing. The orifices at both ends of the concentric reducer are on the same axis. When the reducer is changed, if the position of the pipe is calculated according to the axis, the position of the pipe will not change.

It is generally used for the diameter change of gas or vertical liquid pipe. Concentric reducer at both ends of the nozzle circumferentially cut, generally used for horizontal liquid pipeline.
When the cutting point of the carbon steel concentric reducer is upward, it is called top flat installation, which is generally used at the pump inlet to facilitate the exhaust.
The cutting point downward becomes bottom flat installation, which is generally used for the installation of the regulating valve and exhaust.
The common forming process of carbon steel concentric reducer is reducing pressing, expanding pressing or reducing plus expanding pressing, and stamping can also be used for some specifications of reducer. The process of reducing forming is to put the tube blank with the same diameter as the big end of the concentric reducer into the forming die. By pressing along the axial direction of the tube blank, the metal moves along the die cavity and shrinks to form. According to the size of reducer, it can be divided into one-time pressing forming or multiple pressing forming. Stamping refers to the use of steel pipes as raw materials to produce small and large heads, and the use of stamping technology for the production of small and large heads of some specifications.The shape of the die used for drawing is designed according to the size of the inner surface of the head, and the steel plate after blanking is punched and drawn by the die.
