14,  When considering the outer diameter coverage of the pipe, the diameter of the groove surface (outer diameter of the branch) of the branch shall be considered.The diameter of the main pipe is not considered in the welder qualification.

15,  When there is a transition slope, the groove surface diameter refers to the actual diameter measured from the groove surface, which is generally smaller than the outer diameter of the branch header.
