Stainless steel elbow is able to resist weak corrosive media (such as air, steam and water) and chemical corrosive media (such as acid, alkali and salt). In practical use, steel resistant to weak corrosive medium is usually called stainless steel stamping elbow, and steel resistant to chemical medium is called acid resistant steel. Because of the different chemical composition, the former is not necessarily resistant to the corrosion of chemical media, while the latter is usually non corrosive. The corrosion resistance of stainless steel elbow depends on the alloy elements contained in the steel.

Stainless steel elbow is the basic element of corrosion resistance, which is chromium. When the chromium content in the steel reaches about 1.2%, the chromium and oxygen in the corrosive medium will form an oxide film on the steel surface, which can prevent further corrosion of the steel matrix. Stainless steel elbows will not cause corrosion, pitting, rust or wear. Among the metal materials used in construction, stainless steel is still one of the most robust materials, which can make the structural components comply with the integrity of engineering design permanently. Chromium stainless steel also has mechanical strength and high ductility, easy to process and manufacture parts, which can meet the needs of architects and structural designers.
